Niko Lahtinen from the Steelwings also comes to Berni to train again and again. He’s a great training partner as he sustained a similar injury last year and we have a good chat about training methods and the healing process. Recently, after a nine-month break, he was finally able to celebrate his comeback, and with great success.

I spent a lot of my free time in the fresh air and I enjoyed the short onset of winter with a little snow.

Juna was obviously also enjoying the snow.

For a few years there has been an ice rink on the town square in Leonding for a few weeks that can be used free of charge. I was there with some teammates and our coach Phil Lukas at the opening. Several fans came by for autographs and photos and we were able to enjoy a glass of mulled cider together.

After that there was also a taster session for the Young Steelwings. Bobby Lukas and his team of coaches are always there with enthusiasm and thus awaken the joy of ice hockey in some children. Getting as many children as possible excited about the coolest team sport in the world is a very important cornerstone for the future of the club. Training takes place twice a week in the Linz ice rink, where children between the ages of three and nine learn to skate and play ice hockey in a playful way.

The championship is in its final phase and every point is extremely important. The focus is still on a top 6 placement and together with your support we want to achieve that. We’re looking forward to seeing you all in the hall on Sunday and getting three points together.

Since my final exam and some other appointments are coming up next week, I won’t get back to you for two weeks.

See you soon and stay healthy
