From the cities, their work often goes unnoticed. Also their role in society as rural women, that is why as a legislator of the Fe party we work to give voice to the rights of rural workers.
We are proud to represent the sector that put its commitment and effort into the pandemic, ensuring with its work the food of each Argentine family,
Today in the World Rural Women’s Day, I allow myself to reflect on the work done by thousands of women in the world. Also to delve into the struggles that are mainly led by women, such as gender equality and empowerment used as a necessary instrument for poverty reduction.
Likewise, the economic autonomy of rural women must continue to be promoted by actively getting involved in decisions that have to do with the future of their families and communities; promoting greater access to productive resources, social protection, training to build a better future.
The sustained work that we have been doing and our commitment to the rights of rural workers not only seeks to give them a voice and make the issue visible, we promote legislative projects every day that include the rural sector and enforce rural rights as a priority.
In this line, the rural SOS project, which already has half a sanction in Deputies, has as its main objective to georeference the gates of the fields and provide security solutions to neighbors. This implies guaranteeing access to rural police camps, ambulances, even help in cases of gender-based violence. In short, guarantee access to the same services that those who live in the city have.
Generating projects that enforce the rights of rural women and their families are our priority.
