I don’t want to question the voluntary work of the volunteer fire brigade, which is extremely important and deserves great respect. Nevertheless, I wonder whether it makes sense to hold a festival on the site of a listed museum that, with a lot of love and sensitivity, has become a place in recent years where cultural events take place that are worthy of the setting. The Austrian Nature Conservation Youth (ÖNJ) has also created a real gem here. Even if the fire brigade will make a contribution to the preservation of the Unterkagererhof, the question is whether more will be destroyed over the years than will be preserved. Although I don’t know the basis for the decision on the choice of location, I assume that it was not the ambience of the farm that was decisive, but the existing infrastructure. It would be just as much fun for the thousands of festivalgoers if they were dancing somewhere on a meadow or in a tent. I’m just surprised that all the authorities have agreed to this. In any case, Kagerer-Resl can no longer raise any objections, at most they can turn in their graves in view of the forthcoming plans.
