PER

realities

It’s always something with reality. Do you pretend it doesn’t exist and dwell on the belief that everything is fine – or do you face it? Simply ignoring cannabis through a ban falls into the former category. Because whether someone likes it or not, cannabis is also consumed in this country – which is easy to smell.

The problem: The black market is flourishing, the allure of illegal is growing and the state is giving up the reins. The consumers are mostly between 15 and 24 years old – exactly at the age when the development of the brain is massively disturbed (as with alcohol). 18+ would decriminalize this offense and it would be better controlled.

CONS

thinking ahead

In the beginning, it’s just the occasional joint – to “wind down” after a hard day or to relax with friends. But the occasional weed quickly turns into moderate consumption, which, in addition to physical damage such as an increased risk of heart attack, can also have serious psychological consequences such as psychosis and anxiety disorders, including developmental delays, especially in young people.

If we were to legalize cannabis now, despite all the warnings, this would inevitably lead to an increase in consumption. Not only in adults (to whom legalization would apply), but also in adolescents. do we really want that?
