glamour, please
You have to celebrate the festivals as they come: you don’t have to be a royalist to enjoy the TV broadcast of King Charles’ coronation. The invitation to the coronation brunch met with incomprehension from some friends; however, the others were delighted, amused, and pleasantly excited. All feelings that will definitely do us good in these difficult times.
Of course, the official coronation quiche should not be missing from the culinary delicacies. When we sit in front of the TV on Saturday with a tiara or a fascinator – one of the typical British holiday hats – on our heads, it’s just great fun with glamor guarantee.

fallen out of time
The Queen was buried without my presence, her son will have a crown on his head and a scepter in his hand without my witness. Please do not misunderstand this as disinterest in what is, of course, a historical event.
But the exaggeration of the British royals, whose weal and woe is exploited down to the smallest detail, a seven-hour live broadcast, special programs and analyzes are a bit too much of a good thing.
The spectacle – like the monarchy as a whole – simply seems out of date. Incidentally, the British themselves see it that way: Only twelve percent of 18 to 34 year olds still consider the monarchy to be “very important”.
