More of that!

For far too long, Linz has been rhymed with “begins” or “province” with a smug smile. The subtext wafted from the federal capital “You’re not getting anything smart anyway” up the Danube. Now the Viennese are looking pretty, because we set up an urban music festival in Linz. With grandiose acts that are easily accessible by public transport and within walking distance. The trained Linzer obviously can’t leave it that way. So loud, so many people and all that filth – they should like that nonsense at de Weana! Of course, a festival of this magnitude is also challenging, but the concentrated quality that is found at the Lido Sounds in Linz is not provincial – but world class. More of that!

CONS

On days like these

Some have been waiting for this day for weeks and are dancing with joy on the asphalt tonight. On days like these, the others have a completely different Toten Hosen hit in their ears: “Everything will pass”. And the others are mainly the residents, who don’t pay anything to hear one of the best German-speaking (punk) rock bands (the best is still “Die Ärzte”) up close, but would rather do without it anyway. Yes, everyone will never agree here. But a concrete square in the middle of the city might not be the best place to gather 30,000 people a day either. However, there is a small consolation for the residents: the music they have to hear is better than that at the Urfahrmarkt.
