Meatless venture
Nowadays there is usually no longer a liver inside. If cheese was processed in it, it is shown separately as “Käsleberkäs”. Even the scary stories, according to which meat loaf is the product in which the butcher’s waste ends up, are energetically relegated to the realm of fantasy by the producers. However, meat loaf as a mixture of pork, beef and potato starch is not healthy. And that Austrians eat too much meat is also known. Against this background, one can certainly consider sometimes switching to the vegan version. It tastes similar to the original, is less greasy and takes half as long in the stomach. In this respect: a risk that is worth it.

So a Kas
Another chapter in the book “It shouldn’t be meat, but that’s how it should taste” has opened. People who eat vegan do so for many reasons: whether ethical, health-related or ecological, they are perfectly understandable, even for people who do not (entirely) share them. But if so, then yes. If only plant-based, then please stay consistent. Admittedly, that certainly requires more creativity when preparing the food and perhaps additional knowledge that needs to be acquired. On the other hand, switching to meat-free substitute products, which in any case usually only try to imitate the taste, is one thing above all: a quick and convenient solution.
