The impact of voluntary programs transforming the planet

The will to be part of a concrete action that facilitates the arrival of essential goods such as water, shelter, food, health and education also has an unfailing impact on the lives of those who promote it.

In this sense, voluntary programs are a fundamental pivot in the design of a new paradigm that understands collaborative work as the prefiguration of an inclusive and transformative development model. And that is why it is so important that companies can also contemplate this dimension in any project that seeks to positively impact people and the environment.

Volunteering is a tool for change, for the conservation and transformation of the same world in which we want to continue producing and living. It is the opportunity to undertake hand in hand with people who will allow us to expand and deepen the most altruistic causes that our projects have.

The role that companies and corporations play in building alliances that promote voluntary participation in social and environmental actions, is of the first order. The model of development and progress that those of us who trust in the need to promote a fair and responsible economy are building should invite to build alliances in which civil society is not only seen as a recipient of services.

Offering our time, knowledge, our hands, to contribute to projects that improve the living conditions of people and the planet, also transform social relationships and improve us all as inhabitants of the same house.

Voluntary programs designed in public-private partnerships or with large companies have a multiplier effect, improving the present and especially the future of many communities and the ecosystem of which they are part. To cite an example, the effects that the water crisis has on the most vulnerable communities in the country and around the world, require the commitment and permanent effort of people who can accompany projects for access to safe water, environmental restoration and education. to health. It is therefore necessary to always enable a powerful tool such as voluntary commitment to be able to scale the scope of any project to expand rights or environmental justice.

Today, in the International Volunteer Day, we honor those who selflessly commit themselves to improving the world. And we also want to celebrate that every day more companies join the promotion of programs and actions that design, finance and promote the call for volunteers to conserve biodiversity in different regions of the planet by restoring forests and protecting springs that take care of the water sources that provide life to small and large populations.
