The flight attendant of the icy airliner S7 spoke about what happened during the flight

The flight attendant of the icy S7 liner Anastasia Datsyuk on Sunday, December 5, spoke about what had happened on board during the incident.

According to the girl, the aircraft started chatting right after takeoff.

“After we took off, I started chatting strongly. What happened in the cockpit, I do not know. About an hour [все длилось], we didn’t look much … The passengers were calm. Of course, they were worried, but there was no such panic, ”Datsyuk said in an interview with REN TV.

The girl added that after the shaking was over, the flight attendants began to distribute water for passengers. People asked questions, but they were calm.

On December 2, the S7 airliner took off from Magadan to Novosibirsk. After the plane was transferred to the “direct” autopilot mode, control problems began. Then the ship began to sway strongly, and its speed began to fluctuate. The system signaled a “stall danger” signal, and also notified about icing of the first and second engines. As a result of the buildup, the plane lost 2.7 thousand meters of height.

According to a REN TV source, the incident could have been caused by interference in the control of the co-pilot’s board. According to him, the co-pilot could use the aircraft control stick simultaneously with the aircraft commander, while the Airbus A320 aircraft do not provide for two stick controls, since the signals are summed up.

On the fact of the incident, the Magadan Transport Prosecutor’s Office began to check. The commander of the S7 plane refrained from commenting on the incident in detail, noting only that “an investigation is underway.”

On December 4, the honored pilot of Russia Vadim Bazykin called the landing of the plane a miracle. He said that not only the wings, but also the air pressure receivers of the aircraft were iced up. Bazykin noted that the aircraft was uncontrollable.

On the same day, Honored Pilot of the USSR, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Council for Civil Aviation of Rostransnadzor Oleg Smirnov voiced the possible reasons for the icing of the S7 airliner. In his opinion, the pilots did not notice in time that the plane got into the zone of intense icing.

The pilot also wondered why the crew gave a distress signal so late, when the plane had already begun to fall, and wondered if they had been trained on a special simulator.

Smirnov added that the full picture of what happened will become clear when the investigating commission examines all the available data, including the black boxes.
