The bodies of two Russian citizens who went missing on November 17 were found in the garden of a holiday home in Cyprus. This was reported on December 5 by the Cyprus Mail.
Hayat Al-Raisi, 43, and Maria Gazibagandova, 33, arrived in Cyprus as tourists – one in early summer, the other about a month and a half ago. In mid-November, the girls disappeared.
At the end of November, a suspect in the murder of Russian women was arrested. It turned out to be a 32-year-old Syrian citizen. During interrogation, he admitted his guilt. The man said that he buried the bodies of the girls in the garden of the holiday home where he worked as a construction worker and showed the place.
Investigators also found traces of blood that matched the DNA of one of the victims. Blood was also found on a mini-excavator used in construction work.
At the end of July, the body of Australian citizen Shanay Brook was found in Georgia. According to one version, the girl was killed. Her body was found in a gorge under a Ferris wheel. It was noted that it was covered with branches and leaves.
