The memory of the creator of “Kinotavr”, producer Mark Rudinstein must be immortalized. This was stated by the chairman of the Moscow City Duma commission on culture and mass communications Yevgeny Gerasimov on December 5.

“We were friends for a long time, communicated with him. I and the Guild of Actors helped create Kinotavr. A bright personality, therefore, of course, I think that the memory of him, of the creator of Kinotavr, should be immortalized, “Gerasimov TASS quoted as saying.

On December 5, Mark Rudinstein’s death was announced by his wife Natalya.

The producer was hospitalized on November 17. According to some reports, Rudinstein was taken to the hospital with a heart attack. From the moment of admission, his condition was serious, he was in a coma and was connected to a ventilator.

People’s Artist of Russia, screenwriter, director Viktor Merezhko told Izvestia about his meeting with Rudinstein a year ago: Merezhko went to his hospital, they took a walk and had lunch in a restaurant. According to him, Rudinstein already walked with difficulty and was out of breath.

Mark Rudinstein was born in 1946 in Odessa. He studied at GITIS and the Theater School. B. Shchukin. He was the creator and producer of the Kinotavr and Kinotavrik film festivals, and the organizer of the Golden Aries film award.

Rudinstein was not only a producer. He played several cameo roles – zootechnician in the “Moscow Saga”, Oleg Efremovich in the series “Wolf Messing” and Zilberman in Alexei Balabanov’s comedy “It Doesn’t Hurt Me”.

In 2003 he was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation.
