One person was injured by a gas clap in a residential building near Novosibirsk

One person sustained burns after gas popping followed by a fire in an apartment building in the town of Toguchin, Novosibirsk Region. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Novosibirsk region on Tuesday, December 7.

According to the department, a message about a fire in an apartment on the first floor of a three-story residential building was received at 05:40 local time (01:40 Moscow time). It is noted that within 25 minutes the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia liquidated the open burning.

“According to operational information, the tenants of the house rescued a man from the burning apartment, he was hospitalized by doctors in the central regional hospital with burns,” – follows from the material.

In addition, 12 people independently evacuated from the house before the arrival of the fire and rescue units.

At the same time, a source in the emergency services told Interfax that three 50-liter gas cylinders were found in the burning apartment.

“The cylinders are intact. Probably, there was a gas leak from the cylinders, the gas accumulated and there was a pop of the gas-air mixture, ”said the agency’s interlocutor.

The incident involved 17 people and five pieces of equipment.

Earlier, on Monday, two people were killed in a fire on Marshal Blucher Avenue in St. Petersburg. According to eyewitnesses, the man died in a one-room apartment, and the woman fell from the 11th floor. As the source of the TV channel noted, the owner of the burned-out apartment is a woman of about 30 years of age.
