Rent of cottages for New Year’s holidays on average in Russia has risen in price by 15% per year – up to 58 thousand rubles for three New Year’s days from December 31 to January 2. This is stated in the study of the federal portal World of Apartments, which was received by Izvestia on Tuesday, December 7.
In the Moscow region, on average, you can rent a cottage (excluding the elite offer) from December 31 to January 2 for 60-120 thousand rubles in three days. The package of options usually includes a barbecue or barbecue area, often a bathhouse, karaoke, billiards, hookah, sports equipment – skis, sledges, skates. The cheapest house is rented for 45 thousand rubles. This is a one-storey house with an attic 85 km from the Moscow Ring Road, on the terrace there is garden furniture and a barbecue.
In the Leningrad Region, the cost of New Year’s rental of cottages starts from 35 thousand rubles in three days and on average is about 50-100 thousand rubles. In Sochi and Yalta, the most budgetary options are offered at a price of 30-35 thousand rubles in three days and reach 100 thousand rubles. In Gelendzhik, Anapa, rates range from 20 thousand to 80 thousand rubles, except for elite options.
Pavel Lutsenko, General Director of the World of Apartments portal, noted that vacationers need to be prepared for additional spending. Many landlords take a deposit of 20-50 thousand rubles, which is returned if the cottage and the property in it are not damaged during the celebration. In addition, baths or saunas are often provided for an additional fee.
According to him, experienced tenants are advised to choose New Year’s cottages in September, and book in October-November. At the beginning of December, about 15–20% of the total rental supply remains. However, in the last month of the year, canceled options appear in the public domain.
In November 2020, Inkom-Nedvizhimost reported that the average cost of renting a cottage reached 98,700 rubles, a summer residence – 50,600 rubles.
In October 2021, the international consulting company Knight Frank said that according to the results of the third quarter, in the market of high-budget cottage rentals in the Moscow Region, costing from 400 thousand rubles per month, the volume of supply decreased by 12% over the year. For the same period last year, the number of free lots in the Moscow Region exposition was 156 pieces, and for the same period of this year their number decreased to 138. Compared to the second quarter of 2021, the indicator decreased by 10%.
Alexander Shibaev, director of the consulting and analytics department of the Kalinka Group elite real estate agency, told Izvestia that due to the situation with the coronavirus, many citizens are switching to remote work, which has a positive effect on the market for buying and selling and renting suburban real estate.
