The Kirovsky court of Yaroslavl refused the investigation to satisfy the motion for the arrest of a 16-year-old teenager detained on suspicion of making explosives and calling for violence, he was released in the courtroom. This was announced on Tuesday, December 7, by the press secretary of the court Olga Kozlova.
According to her, the procedure provides for the possibility of the investigator to file a different request or to choose a measure of restraint without a trial.
The detention of the teenager was reported earlier that day by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Yaroslavl Region. The young man is suspected of committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal manufacture, storage of explosives”), part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal possession of firearms and ammunition”).
During the interrogation, the young man confessed that he had acquired chemicals and made an explosive on his own, which he later illegally stored at his place of residence. During the searches, a sawed-off shotgun of a hunting rifle, ammunition, and communications equipment were seized from him.
Until December 5, the teenager was subscribed to the Telegram channel, which unites radical-minded citizens and encourages them to take violent actions against government officials.
