Investigative Committee denied data on the death of a 10-year-old girl when shooting at the MFC

The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation on Tuesday, December 7, denied the data on the death of a 10-year-old girl when shooting at the Ryazansky MFC in the south-east of Moscow.

Earlier, the media reported that the wounded child died in the hospital.

“From the received injuries, two people died on the spot. Other victims, including one minor child, receive the necessary medical assistance, ”the ministry said in a statement.

The shooting incident at the Moscow MFC happened earlier that day. According to Izvestia, the attacker caused a scandal after being asked to wear a mask at the entrance. After that, he took out a weapon and fired several shots.

The man tried to escape from the crime scene. However, he was detained by a member of the Migration Unit. According to preliminary data, the shooter Sergei Glazov was previously a serviceman with the rank of lieutenant colonel.

According to eyewitnesses, the man behaved inappropriately, made loud statements about the end of the world and called the coronavirus pandemic a world conspiracy.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened against the man on the fact of murder and illegal arms trafficking. The Moscow prosecutor’s office took control of the investigation of this case.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin expressed his condolences to the victims and the families of the victims. He clarified that doctors are doing everything possible to help the wounded. As Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova specified, all four victims were hospitalized.
