The wife of the owner of “Rive Gauche” refused to plead guilty to fraud

The wife of the owner of “Rive Gauche” August Meyer – Inna – does not admit guilt in fraud. The footage, which captures the moment the woman left the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR), is published on Wednesday, December 8, Izvestia.

The couple were detained earlier that day as part of a fraud investigation. The general director of “Ryady Optical Club” Elena Streltsova was also questioned.

When asked by the reporter whether Inna Meyer admits her guilt, she answered in the negative.

At the same time, the spouses are suspected of stealing 2.3 billion rubles from Sberbank, which they received for business development. Also within the framework of this case, Dmitry Kostygin, one of the largest shareholders of Yulmart, was arrested, but later he was released and he went abroad.

On December 8, representatives of Sberbank noted their intention to collect the debt under the loan agreement in accordance with the law. Sberbank expressed confidence that law enforcement agencies make balanced and objective decisions.

Since 2016, Yulmart has been in a state of conflict between Dmitry Kostygin, August Meyer (owning 61.5%) and Mikhail Vasinkevich (38.5%). Because of this, the once largest online retailer in Russia has actually ceased operations since the beginning of 2020.
