The fifth season of the educational program of the Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art has become available on VKontakte. All 10 videos of the Biennale were uploaded to the Culture VKontakte community.
The educational program of the Moscow Biennale is designed for viewers without special education. They will be told about 10 museums and exhibition spaces of the capital, which are interesting, but less known to the general public.
The Moscow Archeology Museum, AZ Museum, Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, RuArts Foundation, Vadim Sidur Museum, Collection Museum, Stella Art Foundation, Moscow Transport Museum, Pavel and Sergei Tretyakov Museum, Central Museum of Old Russian Culture and Art named after Andrey Rublev.
“To paraphrase Walt Disney, a museum is“ a place where people can find happiness and learn. A place where parents and children can have a good time with each other. A place where teachers and students discover new and better paths of learning and understanding. It is both a fair, an exhibition, a playground, and a meeting place for wonder and beauty. ” And I want people to know about as many of these “meeting places with miracle and beauty” as possible, ”said Yulia Muzykantskaya, President of the Moscow Biennale.
In the fifth season, viewers, among other things, will learn about the new project of the State Tretyakov Gallery – the Museum of Pavel and Sergei Tretyakov. This museum will open for visiting only in 2022. The restoration workshops of the Andrei Rublev Central Museum of Old Russian Culture and Art will also be shown for the first time.
Most of the fifth season of the Biennale is a private initiative. Each episode of the cycle begins with a story about the concept, collections and exhibitions.
VKontakte is the main partner of the educational program of the Moscow Biennale.
“The VKontakte team knows its audience very well. This season we tried to work in the closest possible collaboration with colleagues and think over all the details already at the stage of developing an idea. We wanted to make a bright project that would be interesting for modern young people. Therefore, the author of the scripts for the entire cycle is Vera Tolstaya, a 19-year-old student of GITIS. The host of the 5th season, Evgenia Gladkina, is an active blogger, a working mother and a frequent visitor to a variety of exhibitions, but not an art critic. And the questions she asked, we think, are exactly the ones that any visitor could ask, ”added Muzykantskaya.
The fifth season of the educational program will also be shown on screens in the trains of Russian Railways.
