On October 3, while performing a training flight in a forest belt in the village of Children’s Town ZIL, the Lytkarino urban district, Moscow Region, a Robinson R44 helicopter crashed. On the fact of the crash, a criminal case was initiated on violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport (Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Eyewitnesses said that they heard the engine quieted down, probably its failure and caused the crash.
It is known that the helicopter was flown by one of the best instructors of the Kondor-M flying club, Alexander Shapochkin. According to REN TV, the passengers of the crashed Robinson R44 were a young couple: Khristina K., born in 2000 and Semyon S., born in 1999.
