Peskov answered a question about benefits for Russians living in Donbass

Under the social benefits residing in the Donbas Russians assumed including old age pensions, disability benefits and disability, maternity leave, child benefits and many others. This was December 10 told “Izvestia” presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“All payments are meant, including those listed by you,” he said in response to a relevant question.

The head of state pointed out that what is happening in the Donbass resembles genocide.

Earlier, on 15 November, Putin signed a decree on the provision of humanitarian support to the population of individual regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The decision was made against the backdrop of the ongoing economic blockade and a pandemic of a new coronavirus infection. The President also instructed the Government of the Russian Federation within one month adopt a number of measures which soften the conditions for access to Russian markets for goods from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republic (DNR and LNR).

In February, Putin said that Moscow will not leave the Donbass under any circumstances. According to the head of state, “before his eyes there are people who have received injuries and injuries,” especially the children of Donbass.

Commenting on this, Peskov said that Russia will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the Russian-speaking Donbass population, as more do it to no one. A Kremlin spokesman said that many Russian-speaking people living in the Donbass. He stressed that now they do not have social security from their own state – Ukraine.
