The Russian MIA Administration for the Primorsky District disclosed the details of an incident that took place in a private dental clinic “Duncan” in St. Petersburg, where a six-year-old boy died.
It is clarified that the message about the death of the child during anesthesia as a result of cardiac arrest came from the chief physician of the clinic.
According to the press service of the department, the boy’s mother applied to the clinic by appointment for the treatment of the child’s teeth under anesthesia. After the pediatrician examined the minor on the operating table, in the presence of his mother, they put a mask on his face and began to carry out induction anesthesia. The boy took a few breaths and then stopped breathing.
It is noted that the resuscitation measures were carried out within 45 minutes, and the ambulance arrived declared death.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the baby’s family is complete and prosperous.
The fact that the child died in the dentistry of St. Petersburg became known on December 10.
On the same day, the investigators of St. Petersburg opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements”).
