The Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) opened a criminal case on the organization of an extremist community that promotes the ideas of nationalism in Omsk. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Omsk region on Wednesday, December 15.
According to the investigation, two young people of 19 years old met on the Internet. Learning that they both shared extremist views, they founded the Nord community, which was joined by people with similar views.
“The organizers and members of the community – at least 17 people – on the Internet incited hatred and enmity towards other social groups, actively expressed negative assessments of people holding different ideological views, called for the use of violence against them, justified fascism,” said in the department.
Investigators also found that a bystander had been beaten by the suspects.
During the investigation, the community members were seized: items with a swastika, brass knuckles, a baseball bat, folding knives, a gas pepper spray and a gas pistol. The detainees were going to use all this as a weapon in attacks on people.
The investigation of the criminal case continues.
On December 13, the Public Relations Center (DSP) of the FSB of Russia reported that the service had detained 106 supporters of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi group MKU in 37 Russian regions, two of them were suspected of preparing attacks on educational institutions. Among the detained supporters of “M.K.U.” three administrators of the organization’s Internet communities have been identified who promoted extremist ideology and called for violent actions.
