To meet the upcoming 2022, Russians are more likely to choose discreet jewelry made from environmentally friendly materials and prefer a calm color scheme. Such data follows from the results of a study conducted by AliExpress Russia. The materials are at the disposal of Izvestia.
According to the company, this year, platform users are opting for muted and soft tones to prepare their homes for the holiday. So, they most often choose New Year’s decorations in burgundy, beige and silver tones, which can be explained by the fatigue of users from bright and flashy decor and the desire to decorate the interior in noble and calm colors.
Another trend is also noted – eco-friendly jewelry made from natural materials in the Nordic style. Russians are increasingly choosing wooden toys with a handmade effect, for example, wooden deer figurines on clothespins.
The trend towards sustainable materials continues this year’s popular craft paper holiday toys. Russians prefer fluffy champagne-colored paper balls with congratulations pendants and paper lanterns.
Vintage-style New Year decorations inspired by Soviet films and posters are still popular. So, Russians often choose decorative figures of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, which can be put under the Christmas tree. Most often, from such jewelry, users choose musical dolls measuring 30 cm.
On December 11, the results of a survey by the SuperJob service were published, according to which Russians consider meeting with family and friends to be the main New Year’s tradition, while decorating a Christmas tree and creating a New Year’s comfort at home are in second place.
5% of Russians have a favorite tradition of making wishes to the chime, while 4% have a good rest, fireworks and a feast, and another 3% – cooking holiday dishes. Going to the bathhouse and watching New Year’s films is preferred by 2% of the respondents.
