The court extended the term of detention for four accused of attempted murder in Novaya Moscow until February 5, 2022. The decision was made taking into account the position of the Moscow prosecutor’s office, the press service of the supervisory authority reported on December 16.
“The defendants in the criminal case were charged with committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, item “a, c, g” part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempted murder committed against two persons, a minor, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy”), ”says the Telegram of the Moscow prosecutor’s office.
On November 7, the Shcherbinsky Court of Moscow concluded the defendants in custody until January 5. Among them are Araz Musaev, Faramaz Hasanov, Elkhan G. and Eljan Hasanov.
The defense announced its intention to appeal the verdict, considering the court’s decision redundant.
The incident took place on November 4th. In New Moscow, a group of people beat up two men, one of whom was carrying a child. After the incident, four suspects were detained. They turned out to be young people aged 17 to 21 years.
Initially, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Hooliganism”). As noted in the Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee in Moscow, the actions of the attackers threatened the life and health of a four-year-old boy. As a result, on behalf of Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the case was re-qualified to a more serious article – “Attempted murder.”
