Dealers in strong alcohol in plastic containers will face fines. This became known on Friday, December 17th.
The bill regulating this issue is planned to be considered at the plenary sessions of the State Duma in the autumn session. The document developed by senators Sergey Ryabukhin, Andrey Epishin, Dina Oyun and Akhmat Salpagarov supplements Article 14.17 of the Code of Administrative Violations. The draft can be found on the website of the legislative support system.
The law proposes to introduce administrative responsibility for the production and circulation of alcoholic beverages with an ethyl alcohol content of more than 28% in polymer consumer containers. An exception will be containers with a volume of not more than 50 ml, as well as alcoholic beverages imported (imported) into the country or produced for export (export).
If the law is adopted for non-compliance with the conditions of production and circulation of alcohol, fines with confiscation of the subject of the offense will be applied. For officials, the amount of the sanction will be 100-200 thousand rubles, for legal entities – 300-500 thousand rubles.
On December 7, Vladimir Petrov, First Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Leningrad Region, proposed selling sparkling wines and champagne without time limits on New Year’s and Christmas. The offer concerns the sale of low-alcohol sparkling wines and champagne from December 31 to January 1 (New Year’s Eve) and from January 6 to 7 (Orthodox Christmas celebration).
