Scammers come up with a scheme of deception with the autograph session of the actor from “Harry Potter”

Fraudsters have come up with a scheme to deceive Russians by selling non-existent tickets for an autograph session with British actor Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter. REN TV reports about it on December 17.

According to the TV channel, on December 18, Felton is due to visit Moscow and act as a host at the upcoming Bubble Comics Con. The attackers, in turn, decided to seize the moment and began selling tickets on social networks for an autograph session allegedly scheduled for the same day with the actor’s participation.

One of Felton’s fans saw the message about ticket sales on the VKontakte social network. The girl immediately suspected something was wrong and began to find out the details of the event. It turned out that for a ticket to the “photo session” with Malfoy, the scammers demand 7 thousand rubles.

The Russian woman immediately went to the police and told law enforcement officers about what was happening. As it became known to REN TV, a check is currently being carried out on this fact.

Earlier, on December 13, ESET specialists told Russians about the most common New Year’s fraud schemes. So, according to experts, one of the most used tricks of the attackers is associated with travel services. For example, they pretend to be travel agents and ask their victims to pay in advance. At the same time, those who nevertheless transfer money to fraudsters, as a rule, receive fake vouchers.
