Igor Koval was relieved of his post as head of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport (Roszheldor). The corresponding order on Friday, December 17, was signed by the head of the Russian government Mikhail Mishustin.
“Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to dismiss Igor Koval from the post of head of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport (Roszheldor). Deputy Head of Roszheldor Alexander Ivanov will act as the head of the department, ”the document says.
From 2007 to 2009, Koval worked in the port zones department of the Federal Agency for the Management of Special Economic Zones, including as the head of the department for work with residents. His career continued at the Ministry of Economic Development, where Koval initially served as head of the department for attracting and supporting investments and finished as director of the department for investment policy and development of public-private partnerships.
Koval is a candidate of economic sciences and is a third-class active state councilor.
Koval was appointed head of the department in May 2021.
