A comic strip based on the film by Alexei Balabanov “Brother” will be released in 2022, to the 25th anniversary of the film. This was announced on Saturday, December 18, by Roman Kotkov, editor-in-chief of the Russian publishing house Bubble, which will publish the collection.
The comic will tell the story of the main character of the film – Danila Bagrov.
“Next year we will be doing a comic strip based on Bubble’s Brother, as part of the film’s 25th anniversary. We could not stay away. This will not be a copying of the picture, these are really the stories that we want to tell about this hero, ”Kotkov said at the Bubble Comics Con festival of films, games and comics.
Since June this year, you can watch both parts of Balabanov’s film on Netflix. “Brother” and “Brother 2” are the oldest Russian films that Netflix bought, before that rights were acquired only for new projects.
