About 20% of Russians surveyed expressed a desire to receive money as a gift for the New Year. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of the bank “Russian Standard”, reports TASS.
At the same time, most of the respondents expressed a desire to receive a gift that they had previously chosen themselves and asked from their relatives. A surprise was preferred by 31% of survey participants.
It also turned out that 90% of citizens, in preparation for the New Year holidays, give preference to promotions and goods at a discount. The majority of the respondents (64%) begin their preparation by decorating their homes. The second most important point in organizing a holiday for Russians is buying gifts. But only 4% of respondents purchase food for the table in advance.
Earlier that day, stylists named the best gifts for the New Year. Experts advise giving loved ones hats, underwear and perfumes. As stylist Yana Fisti noted, accessories and haberdashery are optimal as a gift for both men and women.
On December 16, Izvestia studied the results of the MAXIMUM Education study and found that almost half of Russian schoolchildren want money, a smartphone, a smart watch or wireless headphones as a gift, and also dream of a kitten and a ticket to a concert of their favorite artist.
