Most of the children who were on the bus, which got into an accident involving a truck in the Yaroslavl region, were allowed to go home by the doctors. This was announced on Saturday, December 18, by the Acting Governor Mikhail Evraev.
“All our guys are from Rostov. They and the driver have already received first aid. Most of the children, fortunately, were not injured, and after being examined by doctors, they were released home, ”he wrote on Instagram.
According to Evraev, two girls were injured, of which only one remains in the hospital.
“The doctors of the regional children’s hospital have already let one of the girls go home. The second will remain under observation for now. Another child, a boy, has been delivered to this hospital. He is now undergoing examination. Doctors do not fear his condition either, ”said the acting governor.
The bus driver was taken to the Solovievskaya hospital in Yaroslavl.
The accident occurred in the early morning of December 18 at 193 km of the Kholmogory highway in the Rostov region. As the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified, when the truck was moving, logs scattered, which led to an accident involving a minibus in which the children were traveling to the competition. According to some information, the cargo was crumbled due to the fact that the trailer of the KamAZ was unhitched.
As it became known, the bus was carrying young athletes from the Rostov FGC “Sambo XXI Century” to the competition in Solnechnogorsk near Moscow. There were 14 children in the car between the ages of eight and 16, five adults and a driver. According to preliminary data, the man broke his arm.
