Two people died and two more were injured in a collision between two cars on Russky Island in Primorye on Sunday, December 19.
“On December 19, at 4:00 am (21:00 Moscow time), the fire and rescue service received a message on the phone that a car caught fire on the Russky Island as a result of a traffic accident near the village of Pospelovo, the city of Vladivostok. In a matter of minutes, fire fighters were working at the scene, ”the regional EMERCOM Directorate said in a statement.
When the firefighters arrived, one of the two vehicles was completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire and washed fuel and lubricants from the road.
On December 11, the police opened a criminal case into a fatal accident in Vladivostok. At the scene of the accident, two people died, the third was taken to intensive care.
