A technical failure in the work of information resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has been eliminated. The department announced this on Sunday evening, December 19.
It is specified that from December 20, registration and examination departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will work.
“Within a day and a half, the technical specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia carried out recovery measures in order to achieve regular operation of the servers as soon as possible. At present, the task has been completed – access to departmental information resources has been fully resumed, ”the message says.
As reported earlier that day, the cause of the failure was a utility failure that flooded the server rooms, and the servers themselves were flooded with water.
The failure occurred the day before, December 18th. The Ministry of Internal Affairs told about isolated malfunctions in the work of the traffic police system associated with the incident. As explained in the department, the resulting technical failure will be taken into account when making decisions on bringing to justice for violation of the rules of state registration. In addition, the reception of citizens was postponed until December 20. The department apologized to citizens for the inconvenience.
