The most popular writer in the world today, author of the thrillers “Inside the Killer” and “Through the Eyes of the Victim” Mike Omer told Izvestia about his new book series and shared his expectations from the film adaptation of the cycle about Zoe Bentley in Russia.
Now Mike Omer is working on a new book series – her heroine will no longer be FBI profiler Zoe Bentley, but professional negotiator Abby Mullen specializing in hostage rescue.
So far, only the first book has been published in the new series in English, it has not yet been translated into Russian, it is only expected. The plot focuses on the difference in the perception of the same situation by different people and how they influence each other. The entourage and themes here are totalitarian cults, influencers, conspiracy theories and real schemes that influence the surrounding reality.
The writer also admitted that he is looking forward to the film adaptation of the cycle about Zoe Bentley “Kinopoisk”.
“I am happy that my books will be able to turn into a series. Over the past two years, the Russian TV series market has made a huge leap forward. I was very impressed by the Russian TV series “Epidemic” and “Better than People” – plot twists, conflicts, character development. Another decisive factor is that the series is filmed here quickly and well, ”said Mike Omer.
Kinopoisk and the literary agency Banke, Gumen and Smirnova, representing the writer Mike Omer, have made a deal: the service received the rights to film the film adaptation of Omer’s popular detective cycle about the crime psychologist Zoe Bentley in all languages of the world, as well as to the subsequent distribution of TV series and / or films based on this trilogy.
