On December 20, experts from the hunting supervision and the Amur Tiger Center began checking after a video appeared on social networks in which several men chase the Amur tiger in a car and then shoot after the animal.
The video appeared on the web in December. On it, men ride after a rare tiger, which allegedly goes to busy places in the village, preventing local residents from leaving their homes, and has already killed two dogs. Judging by the footage, when the animal decided to run away into the forest, one of the men started shooting after him.
Local media clarified that the incident could have occurred in the village of Melnichnoye. The general director of the Amur Tiger Center, Sergei Aramilev, denied the information that this settlement was on the video.
“This is definitely not a village (Melnichnoe), there are two inspectors on the spot, they drove around everything – there are no traces. The head of the settlement confirms that there is no tiger. We are checking whether this is the Krasnoarmeisky district, ”he told RIA Novosti.
The Primorsky Okhotnadzor also confirmed to the agency that the check is being carried out, and specialists are already working on the spot.
Earlier, on December 17, the Amur tiger, which was caught near the village of Nagibovo in the Oktyabrsky district of the Jewish Autonomous Region and released into the wild, again came out to people. According to local residents, he entered the farm and attacked the sheep in the barn.
The tiger kept the residents of Nagibovo at bay for almost one week. He lifted at least four dogs. On December 14, people came face to face with a predator, and he rushed in their direction. Later, experts drove him to a safe distance from the settlement, immobilized him, brought him and released him to the places where the animal had previously lived.
