The girl of the figure skater Dmitry Solovyov, beaten in Moscow, Anna Sidorova, on Tuesday, December 21, spoke about the incident.
According to her, the incident took place on the night of December 21 after an evening with a company in a karaoke bar in the center of Moscow. Anna and her friend went out into the street, there were two young people. Anna’s friend asked the strangers for a lighter, in response they began to say “something unintelligible.”
“It turns out Dima, they began to continue to berate at us, I stood in silence. Dima made a remark that one should not treat women like that. He asked them not to talk like that to girls. they didn’t like that Dima began to “teach-treat” them, as they said, ”Anna said.
The girl recalls how one of the men knocked the athlete to the ground and began to beat him.
“We began to separate them and it turned out that there are three of them, we are three girls. The girls took them to the sides, tried to calm them down, ”says Sidorova.
She noted that one of the guys began to calm down his friends. He showed respect for Solovyov, noting his sports achievements, and asked his friends to end the conflict with the Olympic champion. But this only pissed them off.
“And they got mad, perhaps because of this phrase. Maybe they got even more pissed off. At that moment, while they were still talking like that, the girls pulled me away, because it was not clear – and we could fly. Naturally, it played for me: I can’t leave him alone, because I understood that he was alone, and there were three of them, ”the girl explained.
The incident became known earlier that day. Initially, it was reported that 32-year-old Solovyov was beaten by three unknown persons near a karaoke in the Central District of the capital early in the morning.
The athlete stood up for his girlfriend, the curler, Anna Sidorova, after which a verbal skirmish arose between him and the unknown, which later turned into a fight.
The skater’s manager Elena Bolotova said that the police were called to the scene. Law enforcement officers took all the participants in the scuffle to the department, where later an ambulance was called for Solovyov.
Later it was reported that two young people who beat Solovyov were detained.
