In Moscow, the night before, Dmitry Solovyov, Olympic champion in figure skating, was beaten by three unknown persons. As a result of the incident, the athlete received various injuries and was hospitalized, now he is in the hospital. REN TV reports about it on December 21.
According to the TV channel, the 32-year-old skater stood up for his common-law wife, curling player Anna Sidorova, after which a verbal skirmish arose between him and the three men, which later turned into a fight.
According to the athlete’s manager Elena Bolotova, Solovyov is currently in the hospital, where he was hospitalized with injuries of varying severity immediately after the incident.
“Now we are awaiting details from doctors about Dima’s current state of health, as well as an accurate diagnosis and a statement of the consequences of the incident,” RIA Novosti reports Bolotova as saying.
Meanwhile, REN TV notes that even before the incident with the beating, Soloviev and Sidorov made publications with videos on their Instagram pages, according to the content of which it can be assumed that the young people celebrated some kind of festive date.
On December 12, it was reported about the beating of the son of actor Maxim Drozd – Yegor, who was hospitalized in serious condition after a fight in Moscow. According to information obtained by Izvestia, the incident took place a day earlier, on December 11, in the bar “Yorick killed Hamlet” on Pokrovka Street. It was clarified that an unknown man struck Drozd two blows on the head. In this case, the victim hit his head again during the fall. As a result, the young man received a brain injury, as well as a fracture of the bones of the vault and base of the skull.
