The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will hold large-scale paratrooper exercises in the Crimea and the Kuban, more than 1.2 thousand servicemen and over 250 units of military equipment will take part in them. This was reported on Thursday, December 23, in the press service of the department.
According to the information of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in the Crimea, the exercises will be held at the Opuk training ground, the events will start on December 23. During the exercise, combat firing will be practiced with the participation of airborne assault and other units.
In addition, the military will be able to practice demining areas of the terrain, as well as covering troops from air attack weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
At the same time, in the Krasnodar Territory, the exercises will be held at the Raevsky training ground near Novorossiysk. The events will start on December 24th.
The exercises of the RF Ministry of Defense will be held under the leadership of the Commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov.
Earlier, on December 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to make adjustments to the programs of military exercises, including the strategic Vostok-2022. Also, the head of state set the task in 2022 to pay special attention to the supply of high-precision weapons to the troops.
