In Moscow, police officers rescued a 12-year-old girl from an apartment held by a man.
It is noted that the 66-year-old suspect kidnapped the child on the street and kept him in an apartment in the south of the capital. According to preliminary data, the man wanted to rape the schoolgirl, the REN TV channel writes.
The incident took place on the Varshavskoe highway. The malefactor kidnapped the child in front of a friend. She turned to the police for help, who figured out where the child was. Psychologists are currently working with the schoolgirl.

Earlier, on December 21, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on life imprisonment for previously convicted pedophiles. In accordance with the amendments, for repeated crimes related to violent acts of a sexual nature and against minors (under 18 years of age), a sentence of life imprisonment is proposed.
Prior to that, on November 21, in Moscow, a recidivist pedophile attacked a schoolgirl. The man followed the girl into the staircase, and then into the elevator, where he molested.
The repeat offender was detained for a day. As established, he was repeatedly detained for attempted rape and harassment of minors. Until the end of his last term, he did not serve, as the court changed his punishment in the form of 4 years in a strict regime colony for forced labor in the Moscow region.
