A resident of St. Petersburg appealed to the court and the prosecutor’s office with a demand to punish the lawyer Igor Mirzoev, who filed a lawsuit against Ded Moroz. On Thursday, December 23, REN TV reports.
The man was outraged that he had never received a gift from a fairy-tale character. The lawyer intends to sue Santa Claus for 10 million rubles.
A local resident found Mirzoyev’s statement insulting. As Troitskaya is convinced, in this way the man “spreads information discrediting the feelings of believers in Santa Claus.” She appealed to the court and the prosecutor’s office with a request to collect 10 million rubles from the lawyer.
Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the situation with Mirzoev’s claim during a press conference. He expressed his readiness to become a lawyer for Santa Claus and remind the plaintiff that only “good girls and boys” receive gifts.
Mirzoyev, in a commentary to Izvestia, was surprised that his story reached the head of state. As the lawyer noted, he is glad that he was able to draw attention to this situation. According to him, he is fulfilling his dream “to meet a serious adversary in court.”
