Ilya Reznik was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree

The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova presented a state award to the Russian poet, people’s artist Ilya Reznik. The award ceremony took place on December 24 in the atrium of the Bolshoi Theater.

Reznik was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, III degree. In an interview with the Izvestia correspondent, he noted the significance of this award.

“For every creative person, the assessment of his work is always important. And, of course, for me this is an award that was presented to me by decree by our beloved President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin … I am very grateful to him for that. Because I work very hard. I have just released the third volume of Spiritual Poetry, which was blessed by His Holiness Cyril, I have released a large children’s book, “he shared.

Also, state awards were presented to other prominent figures of culture and art – in particular, actress Tatyana Vedeneeva, artist Konstantin Kuzminykh, artist Boris Vasilevsky. Lyubimova said words of gratitude to the artists for their work and indifference to their work.

“For what you have endured over the past year and a half, courageously fighting with all of us with all the difficulties that the pandemic has brought into our lives,” the minister emphasized during the ceremony.

In August, Putin instituted two new awards for merit in the field of culture: the Order for Merit in Culture and Art and the Medal for Works in Culture and Art.
