More than 10 thousand employees of the Southern Military District (YuVO) will return to their places of permanent deployment after a month of training in the field. This was announced on Saturday, December 25, by the press service of the district.
It is noted that, in particular, the troops that trained in the Crimea, the Rostov region and the Kuban will return from the training grounds.
“In the troops of the Southern Military District, the stage of combat coordination of squads, crews and crews in motorized rifle formations, military units of combat arms and special forces has come to an end,” the article says.
As representatives of the district said, the training of employees was also held at combined-arms training grounds in the republics of the North Caucasus and at military bases of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia, Armenia and South Ossetia.
On December 1, military expert Viktor Murakhovsky, in an interview with Izvestia, assessed the beginning of the exercises in the Southern Military District, and also spoke about their characteristic features. He noted that first, individual skills are worked out, then in the composition of crews and crews, and then the stages of combat coordination of units are carried out. Starting at platoon level, each stage ends with exercises, usually with live fire, added Murakhovsky.
Earlier on the same day, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported that servicemen as part of battalion tactical groups (BTGr) of motorized rifle and tank formations of the Southern Military District marched to the areas of combined-arms training grounds.
