Ram di dam forever
Kaleen proved one thing in the semifinals on Thursday: when it counts, she can deliver. When she appeared on the huge song contest stage, she left nothing to be desired and surprised everyone with a bombastic, sexy (dance) show with difficult acrobatics at its finest. Five dance world championship titles send greetings! Vocally, Kaleen was mostly spot-on, the Malmö Arena was boiling.
No wonder “We Will Rave” climbed four places in the betting odds yesterday and is now at number 14. Even if the lyrics are not a philosophical treatise (keyword “We ram-di-dam-dam-dam”): the song gets under your skin and is fun. Good luck, Kaleen, and ram-di-di-dam forever!

Never runs out
Yes, I know, on March 1st I wrote in this column that Kaleen won’t make it to the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest. Now it has happened and we are happy. But why could it happen? Because “We Will Rave” stands out marginally but still from the mass of scantily clad singers who are accompanied by dancers as if in their last throes. Kaleen’s voice is reasonably good and her dancing is really good. The 29-year-old owes her surprising leap into today’s final to the fact that only the audience rated her performances in the semi-final.
An expert jury, as is the case today, should actually turn away with horror. You can never run out of top ten.
