Five people were poisoned by carbon monoxide in a private house in the Volga region of Kazan, two were hospitalized. On Saturday, December 25, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Tatarstan told reporters about this.

“On the evening of December 25, the doctor on duty at the ambulance station in Kazan received a message about carbon monoxide poisoning of five people, including two children,” the department noted.

A girl born in 2021 and a girl born in 2003 were hospitalized with moderate and mild poisoning.

Women born in 1975 and 1999, as well as a girl born in 2007, refused hospitalization.

It is clarified that there are no fatalities in the incident. The reason for the incident is being established.

Earlier, on December 19, it became known that a woman and four children were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning in Nizhny Novgorod. It was noted that this is the second carbon monoxide poisoning in the Nizhny Novgorod region per day: on Sunday night in the village of Neklyudovo, four people, including a child, were poisoned.

Experts found out that the apartment in the house on Pushkin Street has a gas stove and a water heater. At the same time, the column does not have the acceleration of the chimney, and it itself is made of corrugated foil.

Now specialists need to find out whether it was these violations of the design of the installation of devices that were the cause of the poisoning of a large family.
