In Moscow, the co-owner of the Tea House and the investigator were arrested for a bribe

The Presnensky Court of Moscow arrested Leonid Venzhik, co-owner of the Perlovy & Co company (Perlov’s Tea House on Myasnitskaya Street), and Magomed Tagirov, investigator of the 11th department of the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moscow, for two months on suspicion of bribery on an especially large scale. This was announced on December 25 in court.

“The court granted the petition of the representative of the Investigative Committee (Investigative Committee) and chose Tagirova and Venzhika as a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months. Both of them are in the case initiated under Part 4 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Mediation in a bribe on an especially large scale”) “, – said in a message quoted by TASS.

Both face up to 12 years in prison.

On December 23, it was reported that in the Leningrad region, a court arrested an investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs department, he was suspected of bribery.

According to the investigation, it was established that the investigator, through intermediaries, received a monetary reward in the amount of 1 million rubles from the victim in the criminal case he was investigating. In addition to money, an employee of the department demanded to drill a well on the territory of his household in the Lomonosov region, the UK said.

In return, according to the department, “the investigator assured the victim in the criminal case that he will ensure the proper quality of the investigation in the criminal case that is in his proceedings.”

Investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime committed and the involvement of the accused and other persons are continuing, the reasons for the illegal act are being investigated.
