The head of state stressed that the Ministry of Emergency Situations adequately, honestly and conscientiously solves a huge array of tasks that are entrusted to the department.
“All of them are extremely responsible, important, significant for citizens, for our society and state, and are directly related to the protection of people’s health and life,” the Russian leader noted.
In 2021, units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations fought the consequences of floods, saved settlements in many regions of Russia from fire, and solved important tasks to combat the COVID-19 epidemic, the president recalled.
“I would also like to emphasize that the specialists of the ministry, within the framework of Russian humanitarian missions abroad, have actively and professionally worked in Afghanistan, Syria and other countries. They delivered the vaccine against the coronavirus to Cuba, Mozambique, India and the Republic of South Africa, ”Putin said.

“Russia is rightfully proud of you. And our citizens know for sure that the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are ready to come to the rescue at any time of the day or night, that they will use all the reserves, all available forces and means, equipment, personnel in order to eliminate any threat as soon as possible. And they will fight for every person, even at the cost of their own lives, ”said the head of the Russian state.
Putin noted that the rescuers who, in fulfilling their duty, sacrificed themselves for the sake of others, will forever remain with us in the honorary lists of the best fighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“Among them are the courageous, fearless mine rescuers who died at the Listvyazhnaya mine, and the Minister, General of the Army Yevgeny Nikolaevich Zinichev,” the head of the Russian Federation said.
