In the city of Serdobsk, in an apartment in a residential building on M. Gorky Street, the bodies of three men and one girl were found, who died, according to preliminary data, due to carbon monoxide poisoning. This was announced on Monday, December 27, by the Serdobsk Interdistrict Investigation Department of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza Region on its website.
On this fact, the department opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing death by negligence to two or more persons”).
“When examined, no injuries were found on the bodies of the deceased. Forensic medical examinations have been assigned. At present, a complex of investigative actions is being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the death of four people, ”the message says.
Earlier that day, it became known that in Tatarstan, two underage children were poisoned by carbon monoxide in an apartment, they were hospitalized.
During the inspection, no damage to the equipment and no gas leaks were found, the prosecutor’s office of the city of Bugulma said.
It is noted that experts study the reasons for what happened and check the implementation of the legislation on ensuring safety in the use and maintenance of indoor gas equipment.
