Izvestia obtained a video recording of the search operation at the hard landing site of the Mi-2 helicopter near Izhevsk. The aircraft was caught in a vortex flow, as a result of which the helicopter began to swing and it fell, a source told Izvestia on December 27.
It was clarified that two people on board survived, and it was also learned that the impact of the fall was mitigated by the low altitude at which the helicopter was located and the snow cover.
The fact that the Mi-2 helicopter made a hard landing near Izhevsk became known earlier that day.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry said that the message about a hard landing of the helicopter in the Yakshur-Bodinsky region of the republic came from the pilot of the ship at 14:15 Moscow time.
According to preliminary data of investigators, before the loss of communication with the helicopter, the aircraft commander reported an emergency situation. Investigators went to the scene.
The Prime Minister of Udmurtia, Yaroslav Semenov, said that three ambulance teams also left for the site – resuscitation, medical and paramedic.
