There was a video of the launch of the “Angara-A5” rocket

The video recording of the launch of the Angara-A5 heavy launch vehicle from the Plesetsk cosmodrome was published by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Tuesday, December 28.

The launch took place at 22:00 from launch pad # 35 at the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region and proceeded as usual.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation noted that the Angara-A5 was taken to be escorted by ground means of the Space Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

All those involved in the successful launch were congratulated by Dmitry Rogozin, General Director of Roscosmos, and noted that now it is necessary to wait for “the operation of the Perseus upper stage developed by RSC Energia”.

This is the third test launch of the Angara-A5 heavy-class launch vehicle. The previous one was successfully held on December 14, 2020. The first launch took place in 2014.

The Angara-A5 is a Russian heavy-class carrier rocket of the Angara family. It is the first heavy launch vehicle developed in Russia after the collapse of the USSR.

Angara belongs to the family of Russian environmentally friendly launch vehicles of various classes. It includes light carriers “Angara-1.2”, as well as heavy “Angara-A5” and modernized “Angara-A5M”.
