The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova wished everyone peace in the coming year. The diplomat said this on December 28 to the BelRos TV channel.
“Always in the first place – peace, a peaceful sky. Not empty words, as my grandmother used to say, ”she said in an interview with a journalist.
According to Zakharova, her grandmother believed that health, happiness and love could be fixed. The diplomat also wished everyone love for everyone and for the world.
As the representative of the Foreign Ministry continued, one of the main results of the outgoing year was the restoration of life, which “almost collapsed” in 2020 due to the pandemic.
“Based on my feelings, the 21st year has passed under the sign of restoration,” Zakharova shared.
On December 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin joked that he would listen to the president’s congratulations on New Year’s Eve.
Earlier, on December 25, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Putin will celebrate the New Year in the company of family and friends. According to a Kremlin spokesman, Putin’s Christmas week will take place partly in working hours. He added that the Russian leader rarely spends this time entirely “like New Year’s holidays.”
On December 23, during a big press conference, Putin spoke about what happiness and optimism depend on in 2022. According to the President, to be happy in the new year requires the implementation of ambitious plans, for which large funds have already been allocated. He stressed that the meaning of his work is to make people’s lives better.
