Energy efficiency in construction stands as a fundamental pillar in the fight against climate change. In a world where Emissions of greenhouse gases reach worrying levels, adopt practices that reduce energy consumption in this sector it is essential to mitigate environmental impacts, given that Construction in general is responsible for 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

Argentina, committed to the global climate agenda towards 2030, has recognized the importance of this approach and is taking significant steps to boost energy efficiency in its construction projects, challenging the industry to contribute solutions to global goals.

In this context, it is necessary to rethink the construction industry to make it sustainable. And energy savings are part of the commitment to minimize the carbon footprint, optimizing energy use during all stages of the construction process, from design to operation and maintenance of buildings. This includes the implementation of innovative technologies, improving construction standards and the use of sustainable materials.

Dry construction and, in particular, the Steel Frame, is a lightweight and sustainable construction system that minimizes the environmental impact of the activity by using thermal insulating materials, which reduce energy losses during the operation of the building. In addition, it generates only 1% of profile waste thanks to the fact that they can be delivered pre-cut in the necessary lengths, and steel has the ability to retain its mass throughout the production process, which makes it the most recycled construction material. in the world, contributing to the reduction of waste.

At the same time, there are more and more cases of companies that have established commitments and objectives for the year 2030 that contribute to inhabiting a more sustainable planet. Among them, Barbieri, a leading dry construction company in the region, installed more than 1,700 solar panels in its plant located in the Burzaco Industrial Park and managed to generate, last year, more than 900 kilowatts peak of installed power, that is , 45% of its energy consumption. This sustainable investment is equivalent to taking 280 cars off the road in one year.

By adopting significant measures in this regard, Argentina not only meets its international commitments by taking responsibility for its impact on the environment, but also encourages companies to take action and build a more sustainable world for future generations.
