During his visit to St. Petersburg, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko presented a basket with Belarusian products and crystal glasses to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. This was announced on Wednesday, December 29, by the Telegram channel “Pool of the First”.

Earlier that day, the heads of state held talks in St. Petersburg. The meeting lasted for about three hours. The leaders talked at the Constantine Palace in Strelna, discussing topical issues of cooperation between the two countries.
In particular, Putin noted that a significant step forward had been made in the development of the Union State in the current year. According to him, Russia and Belarus have also agreed on issues related to finance, tax, customs and fiscal legislation.
At the same time, a friendly hockey match took place between Putin and Lukashenko in the ice palace of the Manezh children’s and youth sports school in Strelna. The heads of state played for the “whites” team and defeated the “reds” with a score of 18: 7. During the game, Putin scored seven goals, and Lukashenka – two.
